Climate Emergency Power Pack – Serpentine Residency with Rudy Loewe
In order to fight climate change we need planet wide action. Things will only change if we all work together. When something seems really big, it can be difficult to imagine how we might make a difference. We wanted to focus on the activism of young people around the world who are making changes for their communities, sometimes by starting with something small.” – Jacob V Joyce and Rudy Loewe
Power Pack: Climate Emergency has been created by Serpentine Artists-in-Residence Jacob V Joyce and Rudy Loewe. The pack features illustrations of BIPOC (Black/Indigenous/People of Colour) environmental campaigners from around the world alongside a series of creative prompts. The artists invite you to use drawing as a tool to learn about climate activism and to consider ways to make changes in your own environment.
This pack was created with young people aged 7 to 14 in mind, but is open to everyone. You can download the pack here or pick up a free copy from the Serpentine Pavilion.
Climate Emergency is commissioned by Serpentine Education as part of Back to Earth, the Serpentine’s multi-year programme that invites artists and practitioners to respond to the climate emergency.
